The variation of the downstream water level in Gezhouba Hydropower Station is quite complex but important, especially during the peak load regulation process with large flow. A water level variation model is thus constructed by using the sensitivity analysis and the regression method. It could be used to forecast the downstream water level and to calculate the power output of Gezhouba Hydropower Station, which provides important technical support for the optimal dispatching of the Three Gorges-Gezhouba cascade reservoirs.
