To eliminate the construction risk of jamming/shutdown of open TBM crossing a water-rich sandy fault crushed zone, taking Gaoligongshan Tunnel Project of Dali-Ruili Railway as an example, this paper analyzes the situation and construction data of TBM in the case of jamming/shutdown in such geological condition, establishes the construction standards in terms of possible jamming/shutdown of TBM crossing such strata by induction, and builds a warning model for TBM jamming/shutdown when crossing a water-rich sandy fault crushed zone. Finally, countermeasures are given for open TBM crossing a water-rich sandy fault crushed zone, which provide experience for construction of similar projects.
